In 2014, Wilsons celebrity made its away across the pond with greater prominence after she was cast in Showtimes The Affair as Alison Lockhart an unreliable young woman who has a past of dark that falls in love with an unmarried man called Noah Solloway. Wilson together with Mauratierney and Joshua Jackson won a Golden Globe as Best Actress for a Television Series-Drama in 2015. Wilson stated to British Vogue, "I loved being able to play the character that has both sides of the tale."
